>From about 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. today (Feb. 6) I saw an adult peregrine falcon perched on the tallest building just south of the 417 at O'Connor and Isabella.
Location: If exiting the 417 eastbound, you pass the site while exiting, then you exit onto Isabella then will need to double back to O'Connor via Pretoria (thus exiting the 417 onto Isabella, then veering right after the Loblaw's and bank and turning right onto Pretoria (one way) and taking it to O'Connor). Once at corner of Pretoria and O'Connor, look north (right) up at the building on the left side of O'Connor, at the corner of O'Connor and Isabella. The bird perched on the corner of the building closest to the highway. I saw perhaps the same bird at the same site on January 30, but then it was between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Over the past few years, I've also seen merlins perched atop this building. -- Howard Youth [email protected] _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
