The bird was alone near the red and white beacon at the lakeside entrance to the marina at 1100 hours this morning.
John Black Directions: From the QEW, exit at Niagara St. in St. Catharines. Head north on Niagara St. to Lakeshore Rd. Turn right onto Lakeshore and cross the Welland Canal. Turn left onto Seaway Haulage Rd. At Broadway turn right and head north to Lake Ontario. At the end of the road, there is a small parking area on the left. Scan the shoreline to your left past the striking beaver work on the willows until you reach the lakeside entry to the marina.
