A presumed second-year Bald Eagle (showing extensive white below) passed over
Staines Pond this morning. Directions: Staines Pond is just SE of the
Morningside and Finch. It is interesting at this time of year because its west
end remains open at all times, where about 1500 Canada Geese and a hundred
mallards plus a few Black Ducks and the odd other duck typically congregate.
