Pretty good start to the New Year at Humber Bay East today.
Best bird was a Purple Sandpiper foraging in the rocks near the end of
the eastern point along on the Lake Ontario side.
Also of note a Pied-billed Grebe along with 6 Ruddy Ducks just east and
north of the parking lot.
A flyby 3rd year Bald Eagle heading west was also nice. The only song
bird I saw was a Northern Mockingbird in the parking lot.
Directions
From the Gardiner (west) exit at Park Lawn enter Humber Bay by taking
the first right after crossing Lakeshore Road
From the Gardiner (east) exit at Lakeshore Road head west (right turn)
and continue to Park Lawn, turn left then take the first right into the
Humber Bay parking lot.
