It snowed in Mississauga Oakville today but we held the 62nd South Peel
CBC anyhow. Everyone appears to have survived but results are still
trickling in.
Highlights
Ross's Goose was relocated. This time in downtown Oakville at the mouth
of Sixteen Mile Creek by Sheldon McGregor. (that is about 7 km west of
the Lakeside Ross's Goose from last Sunday).
Yellow-rumped Warbler (5) and 1 Pine Warbler at Sedgewick Park in
Oakville (Bronte). 2 Yellow-rumped Warblers at Snug Harbour
Restaurant in Port Credit. Warblers are noisy even in a blizzard
Snowy Owls, one in Bronte Harbour on docks in outer harbour marina. One
QEW and Third Line Oakville.
Directions : Ross's Goose - Oakville Harbour and 16 Mile Creek are
accessed from the QEW exiting at Trafalgar Road South to Lakeshore then
right west on Lakeshore.
Sedgewick Park - exit Third Line south to Hixon Road east (left) on
Hixon to end of road. Walk east through park to water treatment plant.
Birds along east fence along plant at junction of drainage ditch.
Snug Harbour Restaurant - exit QEW on Hurontario south to Port Street E
(st road past Lakeshore) turn right and continue to end of road at
Stavebank turn left in restaurant harbour.
Bronte Harbour south off QEW end of Bronte Road continue east Ontario
St to large restaurant at outer harbour marina.
