Today we found what we presume to be the same Ross's Goose or a hybrid
between Ross's and Snow Goose reported in November from farther north
along Highway 8 as well as along Highway 33. It was with Canada Geese
on the lake just west of the Lennox Generating Station opposite 7549
Loyalist Parkway (Rte 33) south of Napanee. We actually saw it as we
passed by in the car about 0930 and 1130 but did not stop to observe
it. Later at about 1330 we set out with binoculars and a telescope to
get a good look at it. The bird was mostly sleeping not far off the
shore.
