One American Wigeon (Baldpate) drake was observed on Lake Simcoe swimming leisurely amongst a group of Canada geese regulars at Bonnie Park at Jackson's Point at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon Tuesday December 10. The bird can be seen easily from the car at the Bonnie Park beach. Jackson's Point is north of the town of Sutton (accessible from the south from Highway 48). Drive west on High Street and turn north (right) on Dalton Rd. Turn right on Lake Drive and the left on Lorne Drive. At the Lake turn right on Bonnie Blvd. and the Bonnie Park Beach is there.
