Hi Ontbirders.
It was a sunny day and I thought what better day to take a long drive. I
arrived at the reported location of the GGO posted this morning. One fella
was there and he said the owl was skittish when approached. We both agreed
this was usually not the behavior of the species. He said the owl was last
seen flying into the woods. And it had been very active hunting earlier.
I stayed around for 1 1/2 hours in the hopes of seeing it. I finally saw a
Barred Owl perched on wires at the exact location reported and the owl was
actively looking for prey. There may have been a GGO in the same location
today but I was not able to find it. Thanks.
