The Anna's Hummingbird is still alive today but didn't appear at the feeder until after 1 pm.
The homeowners have requested that there be no more visitors INSIDE their fenced-in backyard; photographers have disturbed the bird such that it would not come to the feeder, jeopardizing its chance for survival. The feeder is hanging outside the kitchen window on the deck, and is visible from the back alley over the fence, and partially visible from Southern Avenue. Even with a heating cable wrapped around the feeder it froze today, so the bird may not last much longer.
