I just checked the entire shoreline at CSSP including the Whimbrel Watch point, 
the three eastern bays, and the entire outer jetty and there was no sign of the 
previously reported purple sandpiper. My kids enjoyed the walk, though!

Just thought I'd save anyone the trouble of looking.
