greetings all I just was invited to a house outside of charlton ontaio where we
were able to band a rufous hummingbird this is the 3rd rufous documented in
our area over the years . The tempetature was -1 and there is snow on the
ground. The rufous was fed before release and photographed. Apparently it has
been feeding at this property for a couple of weeks . Hopefully it will be
heading south soon. I am not leaving directions as we do not have permission
form owner to post directions to her house a t this time. if anyone wishes more
info or would like to see a photo please contact me off list. i thought this
would be of interest to ontbirders. It is the first time we have ever banded a
rufous for the north as part of our humming bird research for the Hilliardton
marsh research and education center
