Birders:
A male Eurasian Wigeon was seen from the main dock of Rondeau Provincial Park
this afternoon. There are several hundred American Wigeon in the vicinity of
the dock along with several other species of typical waterfowl. The single male
Eurasian Wigeon was with the largest group of waterfowl, immediately northeast
of the dock. A scope is highly recommended.
Directions: From Hwy 401, take exit 101 and travel south along Kent Bridge Road
(Chatham-Kent Road 15) to Rondeau. The main park dock is about one kilometre
past the park gate on Rondeau Bay. A park permit is required.
