I observed a lone Tufted Titmouse feeding on sunflower in those feeders by the road at my home on Howe Island (Kingston) about ½ hour ago. Been awhile since Ive had a Titmouse here so that was a pleasant surprise.

The regular ferry is out for its 5-year drydock safety inspection, so the ferry in its place is on an hourly schedule (leaving mainland on the hour; island on the half hour) except during rush hour (6:30-9:30AM and 3-6PM) until Oct. 21st. Cost is $5. There are no amenities on the island. On the island, take the second road left (Baseline Road), then left on Goodfriend Drive, and left onto Havenwood Trail.
