Last Friday evening Sept27th on Tait's Island on Lake Manitouwabing McKellar
Township near Parry Sound a small flock of Water Pipits was noted on our
property near dusk. I had cut the lawn in the afternoon. At that time I was
basically just looking at silhouettes. The next morning I identified them as
water pipits. They foraged on the lawn which consisted of some grass, clover and
weeds. I spent half an hour getting some photographs of them which was a
challenge as they were very seldom still. They stayed for a couple of hours and
left
