Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 9 hours

Official Counter: Dan Lumm

Observers: Dennis Patrick, Donny Moore, John Winebrenner, Lisa Silvey

Visitors:
Todd Pepper brought a group of 13 Ontario Field Ornithologists to the tower
to observe today. Among their sightings were Coopers, Sharp-Shinned Hawks,
resident Bald Eagles and numerous marsh birds. Also visiting were John and
Lisa from Fort Wayne, Beryl Lougher from Collingwood, Mary-Beth & Davivid
Worthington from Toronto, and farthest traveled Laura & Phil Jordan from
Vienna, Austria!

Weather:
Winds were light from the SE to SSE all day with temperatures ranging from
14.8 to 22.3. Light fog burned off shortly after sunrise, and gave way to
clear skies. Barometric pressure fell from 30.13 to 30.03 by the end of the
count.

Raptor Observations:
Eight species of raptors were recorded today, highlighted by two Osprey and
105 Sharp-shinned Hawks. Not bad given the SE winds. Thanks to Donny Moore,
John Winebrenner, Lisa Silvey, and Dennis Patrick who helped spot birds
today.

Non-raptor Observations:
Blue Jay-2,220, Canada Goose-130, American Coot-89, Red-winged
Blackbird-87, American Goldfinch-74, Ring-billed Gull-70, Mute Swan-39,
Killdeer-36, Great Egret-14, Downy Woodpecker-5, Northern Flicker-4, Cedar
