Less than an hour ago, a PURPLE SANDPIPER was feeding along the north breakwall of the park at the beach in Mitchell's Bay! It was working the washed up seaweed as they usually do and was quite approachable.

It was not what I was looking for! Yesterday, a SNOWY EGRET and a MARBLED GODWIT were photographed along the shoreline. I could not find them this afternoon, but they could still be in the area.

Directions:
Off highway 40 south of Wallaceburg, find Electric Line (west) (county road 42). Follow to Bear Line and make a short jog to the left over to Bay Line. Follow Bay Line straight into the village to the waterfront. A park and parking lot are on the right. The sandpiper was on the seaweed along the north breakwall.
