The rain held off but worse conditions for September raptor migration would be hard to come by. Raptor Observations: Movement was minimal. Non-raptor Observations: Nothin' doin' Predictions: Mostly cloudy with an 80 percent chance of rain. The wind will be out of the south early, shifting west as the day progresses. We might be able to squeeze a morning of counting in before the rain but the afternoon looks like a wash. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Jonathan Stein ([email protected]) Detroit River Hawk Watch information may be found at: http://www.drhawkwatch.org Site Description: The Detroit River Hawk Watch (a joint venture of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge and its Friends group, the International Wildlife Refuge Alliance) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
