I just had an adult gannet fly by me, land on the water and fly back east the 
way it came. The location I observed it from is the south tip of Charwell Point 
on the south shore of the county (43.85984, -77.0907). You need rubber boots to 
get to the point. A good spot to try would be Prince Edward Point, which is the 
direction it was headed.

I managed some photos and video that will be on my blog (address in my 
signature) later today!
