Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:45:00
Total observation time: 8.5 hours

Official Counter: Jonathan Stein

Observers: Andrew Sturgess, Fred Kirn, John Elliott, Patrick Mulawa

Visitors:
20+

Weather:
There were mostly cloudy skies throughout. At various points, it appeared
as if some substantial clearing would occur but it was not to be.
Temperatures were way down compared to earlier in the week, never reaching
higher than the low 60s. Couple that with the strong north wind and today
felt more like November than September.

Raptor Observations:
The Broadwings are coming. Today was our first taste of significant
Broad-winged Hawk movement as several large kettles and accompanying
streams passed on by.

Non-raptor Observations:
Canada Geese (200+) were on the move today. Of note, trying to hide amongst
one of the many skeins was a single Snow Goose. Tree and Northern
Rough-winged Swallows were also much more prevalent today out over the
lake.

Predictions:
Clear skies, mild temps and light, variable wind.
