Hi All I was able to make it out to Wheatley Harbour after work and was lucky enough to get to see the pelican. It was sitting on the rock break wall as previously reported by Alan Wormington. The bird stayed in the same location until 7 pm when it took off and flew out into the lake. It had not returned by 7:45 pm when I left. Just got a text message from Pete Read and the bird has returned and will likely roost there for the night. Pete plans to stay until dark and will post another update.
Best viewing was from the pier located at the south end of Kent County rd 1. Good birding!
