Good afternoon birders, Great numbers and variety of birds in Rondeau this afternoon. At least 24 species of warbler have been seen in the park, with flocks present just about everywhere.
A very rare Western Kingbird is being seen at the bright yellow cottage, 354, south of the visitor centre. The Yellow-throated Warbler has been seen again at the Visitor Centre Feeders around noon. A Lawrence's Warbler was on Tulip Tree Trail. Cerulean and Canada warbler were heard this morning 0.5 km south of Spicebush Trail. Hooded Warbler was seen on Harrison Trail. An excellent day of birding in beautiful weather! Thank you to everyone who contributed sightings and please continue to do so at the Visitor Centre. To reach the Visitor Centre from the park Gate, travel 6 km South on Rondeau Road to Gardiner Ave., then follow it around the bend to the parking lot.
