Small numbers of exceptionally early shorebirds appeared on the south wetland of Kaiser Crossroad this week: 4 semi-palmated plover and 5 pectoral sandpipers.
DIRECTIONS: From Picton, take Bridge Street/Highway 33 towards Glenora Ferry. Just before the ferry (There will be a sign.) turn right on Lake on the Mountain Road/County Road 7. Proceed to Kaiser Crossroad and turn right. The shorebirds are on the second wetland on the left. The wetland is private property.
