This afternoon, around 1 pm, there was a female Barrow's Goldeneye on the
Rideau River, just north of Highway 417 (the Queensway) - a great study. About
1 km further north along the Rideau River, there were 2 male Barrow's
Goldeneye, just north of the Rideau Tennis Club.

To get to the Rideau Tennis Club, take highway 417 to exit 117 onto the Vanier
Parkway and proceed north to Donald St.; turn left (west) and cross North River
Road into the tennis club parking lot. To check the Rideau River north of
Highway 417, drive south to the end of North River Road (don't park right at
the end the road); continue south on foot along the Rideau River.
