Ontbirders,
On a last ditch effort, a `big day`was had by some local HSA birders.
The party consisted of Lisa Teskey, Joanne Redwood, Barry Coombs, and I.
We gathered and tried for the Harris Sparrow in Cambridge with moderate hopes,
as the bird was not reported yesterday.
In the mid-afternoon hours, after nearly 2 hours of search, the HARRIS SPARROW
made itself apparent, not at the feeder at 6547 Rd, Cambridge, but just east of
the home, under the blue spruce, behind the small cottage out front the home.
We viewed the bird well and it was photographed. A lifer for all but one of us.
Sorry for the late-ish report, but we celebrated via beer, and obviously beer
is pretty important.
Please re-post if you re-find this beast.
Directions:Courtesy David Pryor
The location is 6547 Ellis Road, in east Cambridge.
>
> Take exit 286 (Townline Road) north from HWY 401. Take the first right (Ellis
> Road) and the house is on the right.
