This afternoon at 3:00 PM, we located a Western Grebe in the waters of
Lake Ontario off Humber Bay Park West along the

waterfront of Toronto. We were at the western most point of the park at
the vehicle turn around, just beyond the small

parking area near the end of that road. From the vehicle turnaround,
looking NNW towards the shore, the grebe ranged

about 70-200m off shore. We observed it for 5-10 minutes. There was a
good wind blowing from the SE.

Directions: From Lakeshore Blvd West and Spadina Ave. on the waterfront
of Toronto, go west on Lakeshore Blvd West,

cross Park Lawn Rd, cross over Mimico Creek, go past Humber Bay Park
East (on your left) and turn left into Humber Bay Park West.

Follow the main Park road as far south and west as it goes; you'll come
to a small parking area on the right and a

a circular vehicle turn around about 10m beyond the parking area. Walk
NW to the bolder shoreline, scan the water in front of you.
