At 2:00 today a male Harlequin Duck was found by a group of 3 in Collingwood 
Harbour. It was best viewed from the Collingwood grain elevator at the end of 
Heritage Drive, also viewed at this local were two White-winged Scoters 
including an adult male, two Horned Grebes, a male Northern Pintail (at the end 
of Birch St) and other usual winter ducks. Two groups of Bohemian Waxwings were 
also found in the area, a flock of 200 near Rona on Sixth St between High St & 
Tenth Line, and the other a flock of 50 in Nottawa in a backyard seen from 
highway 124. Also seen in the area, a Red-tailed Hawk & a Rough-legged Hawk 
seen hovering near Fairgrounds Rd N & Beachwood Rd
 
Heritage Drive can be accessed from the north side of Huron St (also known as 
1st St & Hwy 26). Drive to the parking lot at the end of Heritage, this is the 
best viewing for ducks. Birch St is also accessed from 1st St west of Heritage 
Dr.
