A BOREAL CHICKADEE continues at a feeder in Val-des-Monts north of Perkins, QC 
since the 13th.
 
GOLDEN EAGLE (1 imm) was seen along the Steele Line on the 17th and, very rare 
in eastern Ontario in the winter, 1 adult and 1 sub-adult were seen in the 
Larose Forest on the 17th.
 
BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS (there seemed to be a significant movement through our area 
on the 17), COMMON and HOARY REDPOLL (sometimes at the Hilda Rd feeders) 
continue to be seen all over the area. 
 
Interesting sighting were;
- CAROLINA WREN (2 were seen on the 16th) continue along the fence on the west 
side of the Britannia Conservation Area  
- BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER (1 female) continues on the Lime Kiln Trail in the 
forest fire burn area 
- BARROW'S GOLDENEYE (1 male) continues just south of the Hurdman bridge
- GREEN-WINGED TEAL (1 male) continues on the creek south of Klondike Rd on 
March Valley Rd
- GRAY PARTRIDGE (30 on the 18th) continue in the corn stalks on the south side 
of Giroux Rd just east of Frank Kenny Rd
- WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL (5) were seen in Bells Corners on the 14th
- RED CROSSBILL (1 type 2) was heard in the Poulin Ave and Don St area on the 
15th
- COMMON GRACKLE (1) was seen in an Ottawa backyard on the 16th
- HOODED MERGANSER (1 male) was seen down stream of the bridge in Manotick on 
the 17th
- NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen at a feeder in the Lanark Highlands on the 15th and 
along March Valley Rd on the 18th
