Hi all! At Cressy (lakeside) this morning (along with the diving ducks, geese and swans) were two young Bald Eagles - 2nd or 3rd year. There were also two Horned Larks on CR8 just west of Cressy Lakeside Rd. A little further west at the south end of Kaiser Crossroad, there were two small flocks of Snow Buntings.
In Belleville, on the Moira River just north of the J.B.Corke Footbridge (in with all the Mallards and Canada Geese) there were two male Common Goldeneye, a female Common Merganser, a male Hooded Merganser, and two female Hooded Mergansers. Directions to Cressy Lakeside: >From Belleville take Hiway 62 south into Prince Edward County. Turn left onto Ben Gill Road. When you reach Picton, turn left onto Picton Main Street, bear right onto Hiway 33. Just before you reach the Glenora Ferry, take CR7 up past Lake on the Mountain. Follow CR7 to Kaiser Crossroad. Turn right onto Kaiser Crossroad. It ends at the lake - Cressy Lakeside Road is 1 km to the east. Roads are often narrow and snow covered this time of year, so be careful.
