Thanks to this report I visited the Lakeview Park Marina in Windsor on
1/29/2013 at approx. 3:30 PM and found a count of 6 Bald Eagles on Peche
island. There was one adult for sure. One lone eagle at East end (lake end)
left shortly after I arrived and headed out over the lake. I was not close
enough to this bird to see if it was an adult or juvenile. Thanks Greg

> Yesterday, January 28, at around 3:00 PM, my daughters and I spotted no
> less than 8 juvenile bald eagles along the ice on the shores of Peche
> Island directly across from Lakeview Marina in Windsor. (corner of
> Riverside Dr. and Riverdale Ave.) Some would occasionally fly back up to
> roost in the trees, but they were generally sticking around on the edge of
> the ice, occasionally stopping to catch a meal. They were all just hanging
> out there together, some in groups of 4 at a time. There are also a great
> abundance of gulls and ducks fishing in the Detroit River there as well.
