The male BAGO persists, now 200 m south of Hurdman Bridge (Hwy 417) on the
Rideau River with COGO, and 2 Glaucous Gulls were 40 m and 300 m north of
the bridge with 14 Great Black-backed Gulls and a few Herring Gulls. There
are trails on both sides of the river. Snowshoes or boots ok. Mallards near
the bridge were making 5-10 sec dives for food, despite being dabbling
ducks. Common Mergansers are also present on the river.
