Hello Ontbirds,

On 24 and 25 I have seen Eastern Screech-Owl in two nest boxes for wood ducks
on Eglinton Flats. Both TRCA boxes are on the water/marsh apart from each other
200 m. Pictures taken.

On 25 Humber Bay East Park: Ruddy Duck (60), Pied-Billed Grebe (1), only 1 pair
of Scaup sp., Gadwalls (28 on ponds), American Black Duck (2), Bufflehead
(about 20), Hooded Merganser (about 30), Red-Breasted Merganser (20 plus),
Common Goldeneye (less than 10), Mallard ( less than 20), Long-Tailed Duck was
the dominating waterfowl, Northern Mockingbird (1), American Goldfinch and
House Finch in small flock, hybrid of Mallard (1, looks the same from 2012
winter) and others...

Eglinton Flats is a small 9.3 ha park located at South-East corner of
intersection of Jane St. and Eglinton Ave.

Humber Bay East Park is at the South end of Park Lawn Rd.

Good Birding,
Jacek Pawlikowski

PS Northern Pintail is not present in Humber Bay Park East.
