Hi Everyone, I spent the day on Bear Point on the sw corner of Wolfe Island. Most interesting birds were: 1 first winter Black-legged Kittiwake and 3 Purple Sandpipers. Other birds included 1 Dunlin, 6 Am Woodcock (on the walk in), good numbers of Long-tailed Ducks and Red-breasted Merganser, 5 Black Scoter (all females), 18 White-winged Scoter, 2 Horned Grebe and 16 Snow Bunting.
best wishes to all, Paul Directions: Take the Wolfe Island ferry from Kingston. Get off the ferry and drive to the stop sign. Turn right, go through town, then turn left on hwy 95, right on Reeds Bay Rd. Take road to end (curving left) - follow signs for Big Sandy Bay. Park, walk in to the bay - Bear Point is on the south side (about 1-1.5 hours walk). -- **************************************************** Paul R.
