Dan Kazinski found a near breeding plumaged Pacific Loon this morning at
Thickson Point at 10am.

At 11am, he and I watched it fly out into the Lake and land south-west of
Thickson Point.

Directions:
exit 401 at Thickson Road
go south to a small parking lot on your right near the bottom
then walk west on the transcanada trail until you see a large blue sign that
says Thickson Point
turn left (south) on a very small dirt trail, follow that to the shore, keep
going west along the shore
follow to an obvious point of land going out into the lake which is Thickson
Point
scan to the south-west for the bird

I didn't see the bird very well because it was already in flight, but Dan's
description was excellent.
