This afternoon, at least 200 Canada Geese were found on the SWM pond
at Derry Rd and James Snow Pkwy.

With the flock were at least 2 Cackling Geese.

I am generally cautious about id'ing this spp., but these 2 I am
confident of. There were 2 more possibles that didn't give me a good
enough look at for me to be sure.

The two I am sure of had the very short neck (seen in different
postures as they swam about), short bills, and overall size as small
as (or slightly smaller than) the Mallards that were mingling with
them.

This pond is abt 2.5 km south of the 401/James Snow Junction at the NW
corner of the Derry Rd intersection.
