I am watching a Red Phalarope at Hillman Marsh with Richard Carr, Erika
Hentsch, Chris Ho, and Jamie Thompson. It appears to be a 1st winter bird as it
is retaining a few juv feathers. Richard found it earlier this afternoon.

Drive east on Mersea Road 2, heading towards the east side of the Point Pelee
peninsula and the town of Elmdale. This is east of Mersea road 19 and just west
of Mersea Road 21. Stop at the bridge, and scan the water to the south. It was
moving around a fair bit in this area. We also viewed it from the Digue Couture
dyke, 100 meters farther east on Mersea Road 2.

Photos taken, will be posted on my blog.

Good birding,
