Weather: Rain this morning delayed the start of the count. Temperature ranged form 14 - 19C; winds out of the north-east all day ranging from 5 - 12 km/hr. We were able to see the sun for only about an hour today. Raptor Observations: A moderately slow day with Turkey Vultures making up the majority of the birds. A total of 667 birds of 9 species were counted. Non-raptor Observations: Very little passerine movement again today. Highlights included: 17 Chimney Swifts; 4,580 Blue Jays and 303 American Goldfinch. Ones only of Kinglet sp., Eastern Phoebe, Blackpoll Warbler and Yellow-rumped Warbler. Predictions: Cloudy with a 70% chance of rain in the morning; temperatures are forecasted at 16 - 18C; winds are predicted to be out of the south-west all day from 15 - 20 km/hr.
