Also Bruce Parker + daughter. Thanks to Colin and Keith for pulling together today's count. Weather: Winds were light from the SW and WSW as the morning started and then built to strong from the SW. Skies were clear in the morning then the clouds built in for midday then began to clear out again. Temp to a high of just 13C. Raptor Observations: Well...so much for the prediction of a possible Peregrine flight today as not a single one was espied despite what seemed to be favourable winds and weather. Total birds today was 294...with Osprey (1), N. Harriers (12), Sharpies (210), Cooper's Hawk (1), Kestrels (68) and a couple of Merlins. Non-raptor Observations: No DB&O report today. Predictions: More strong SW winds for Tuesday with a mix of sun and cloud...so perhaps the Peregrines were delayed today and will put in an appearance tomorrow. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([email protected]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
