I was visiting friends in Port Colborne and took a quick trip to Dunnville  
to see if the American Avocet was present - and fortunately it was. A few 
other  odds and ends rounded out the detour:

Semipalmated Plover (Charadrius semipalmatus)  2
American Avocet (Recurvirostra americana) 1 Previously reported by Ken  
Burrell. The bird flew in from the south and landed in one of the ponds on the  
north side of Rymer Rd (the westernmost pond). It could be seen from the 
main  gate, however it was making it's way west, and was soon obscured by one 
of the  dikes/ islands in the pond.

binoculars

On nearby Bird Rd I also had a Red-tailed Hawk and American Kestrel.
