Good thing they did not drive very far. Weather: Sunny, warm with temperatures between 21 and 26C, light winds out of the south. Raptor Observations: Nothing flying. Only 2 Sharp-shins in 5.5 hours. Non-raptor Observations: Hardly any passerine movement either. The following are not the highlights, but the total movement of passerines during the morning. Red-bellied Woodpecker - 1 Mourning Dove - 2 Chimney Swift - 5 Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 1 4 flocks of American Goldfinch - 78 1st flock of the year of Red-winged Blackbirds - 46 Monarch Butterfly - 1 Predictions: A cold front is predicted for this evening and rain is forecasted overnight and perhaps early Friday morning.
