It's a bit of a tough call, but I believe I saw a young YC Night-heron on
Tam O'Shanter Golf Course just north of the pond on the 15th hole, in a
small creek (parallel to Kennedy Rd).

The bird was strikingly slim and tall, with a long neck and an all dark
bill. The neck/breast was finely streaked. I've seen a lot of young
Black-crowned Night-herons, and they all look relatively chunky and thick
necked. The bird was quite still and allowed me to walk right up to it.
I'll try to sneak in there tomorrow and get a photo. I had eventually
flushed it, but it didn't fly far. It was at about 7PM.
