Sorry for the late post -no email access until tonight- later in the afternoon after meeting Old Timers Co-op Birding team I found a Great Gray Owl hunting along the roadside on Hwy 619 in the bog north of Brown Rd. about 10km north of Pinewood. The bird had a dilated right pupil, not sure if this would be the result of a head injury possibly?
Pinewood is located approx 20km east of the Town of Rainy River on Hwy 11.
