It would seem that most people are seeing the Eared Grebe in the channel beside the waterfowl viewing stand, but I thought I'd mention that the grebe is sometimes in the next channel over, where people launch their boats. The bird was out near the end of the channel by the bay, but it quickly swam the length of the channel and approached quite close. I put a few photos on my blog: http://adamtimpf.blogspot.ca/. It's easy enough for the grebe to swim between these channels via Long Point Bay, so don't despair if you don't spot the grebe right away.
Directions: Take highway 59 to Long Point, and park at the waterfowl viewing platform just south of Big Creek Marsh. Check the channels to the south.
