Hi All, On Sunday 25th ( 10:30 AM – 2:15 PM) I have seen 23 species.
Yellow-rumped warbler (2), Horned grebe ( 6, one was close to summer plumage), Am. tree swallow ( they were flying and singing, looking at birdhouses), Brown-headed cowbird (several), Golden-crowned kinglet ( several on one spruce). Double-crested cormorant (1), Northern shoveler (a pair), Common goldeneye (a pair) and other ducks. The most impressive were hundreds of RED-NECKED GREBE, everywhere on the water. They represented all transitional plumage between winter and summer. They showed mating behaviour and were vocalizing loudly. Good birding!
