Today at around 1 pm, we saw 3 Tree Swallows circling above the manmade pond at the north end of the park, viewable from the platform just off the main trail. One adult flew repeatedly to the bird box mounted at the north end of the pond. They were not seen on our return about a half- hour later.
Directions: The north end of the park is accessible from Lawrence Ave. East, just east of the Don Valley Parkway exits on the south side of Lawrence. The gate leading from the driveway to the parking lot was not yet open, but there is space for several cars at the top. Walk down the drive to the bottom and follow the paved trail to your left. Walk a short distance to the pond viewing platform on the right side.
