Just before 8 pm tonight, a common nighthawk was clearly heard, calling over a barn and farmer's field. The bird was flying over an area south of 17th SR and west of 6th line, of Hillsburgh, in Erin township. My husband heard a nighthawk in this same location yesterday evening as well. Hillsburgh is 20 minutes north of Georgetown, straight up Trafalgar Road. Good birding.
