In our Dundas, Ontario, backyard all winter a small flock (8) of Juncos have been coming to feed, especially after snowfalls. Starting last week (Feb 18) we saw one of the earliest arrivals ever of an American robin, coming each day primarily to drink. As in every winter, woodpeckers, goldfinches, whitebreasted nuthatches and chickadees are daily visitors. A special treat has been the sporadic but regular visits of two house wrens.
