About three this afternoon my wife called me to come to the patio door with my binoculars. On the back fence was a Northern Shrike which stayed long enough for a positive identification. Our house backs on to Donegan Park which can be reached by going south from interchange 474 to Elgin (note all the car dealerships), turn east (left) onto Elgin, go to flashing red light at D'Arcy St. and go south on D'Arcy to the park.
