Sorry for the late post, sent this yesterday and for some reason it did not
show up..

After having great looks at the Great Grey Owl in Kingsville again around noon
yesterday, my son and I headed over to the onion fields to look for the Snowy
Owls reported there recently. No luck after an hour of searching, so we headed
into Pelee.  Very quiet there but had great looks at a juvenile Bald Eagle
perched by the road at the marsh lookout.

On the way out we tried again for the Snowy Owl and this time had success.  A
juvenile, heavily barred was on the ground just east of Mersea 19 and south of
Road C (where the concrete blocks line the road).  Many harriers and one
Cooper's Hawk in the area as well.  A great start to the birding year!

Happy New Year to all!
