An immature Snowy Owl was seen and photographed today just east of Bornholm on the west side of road 160, midway between Cty road 44 and the 46th line. The owl was on the ground in the field and was later observed to be sitting on a fence post on the west side of this field.
Bornholm is a few kms north of Mitchell, which is west of Stratford. A picture seen on the Weather network web page led to my searching for this bird, however the picture on TWN was of a mature adult, so there must be more than one in that area.
