On the morning of December 26 there were many gulls near the landfill site, including 12 Glaucous gulls, 7 Greater Black-Backed, 4 Iceland and many Herring and Ring-billed Gulls. An adult Thayer's Gull was there on December 22.
Most of the gulls were on the golf course off Ira Needles Boulevard, just south of Erb Street; there is a good viewing spot behind the Winners store.
